Ahhhhh…. vacation. Watching the children play on the beach with the sounds of the ocean waves lapping up on the sand. Taking a paddle out on the lake. Sipping a cocktail on the deck. Being able to sleep in (a little) and not have to run around the house like crazy to get out the door on time.
Vacation is amazing.
A lot of people consider the idea of having family portraits taken while on vacation, but then don’t follow through. Maybe it’s because they are busy, but maybe it’s because they think it will be so much work.
Today, I am going to give you five reasons to consider inviting a photographer to photograph your family on vacation, whether you are staying in a rental, a resort, or your family’s vacation home.
We love vacation, because we get away from the grind. If you feel more relaxed, the whole family is happy. Happy people make happy photos.
Whether it’s a long-time family home, a yearly trip to your favorite spot, or a place that you have always wanted to visit, you are there for a reason. Photos of your family at a favorite place will be treasures forever.
You got away to have a break from sports, lessons, and activities. If you do photos on vacation, you don’t need to worry about working around a baseball game, a rehearsal, or a class.
You normally spend all daylight hours at work. Vacation lets your skin see the outside. If you are careful with your sunscreen during the day, your skin will have a nice, healthy “See? I do go outside” glow.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have nice photos of the week that you spent together?
When you book a family vacation session with me, I keep it easy and fun. I’ll give you a guide to help you choose outfits. I will make it fun for your family. And, it won’t take too long! You can have a little family happy hour, get dressed up, take photos, then go out to dinner.
When you are done, you will have gorgeous photos of your family from that time that you slowed down to enjoy each other’s company!
