Hey Photographers,

I’m here to tell you to be true to yourself.

Every time I have tried to take my business in a direction that was not following my “true north” it has not worked out for me.

You don’t need to be the “cute” photographer if you are tall and awkward and clunky.

You don’t need to be the “trendy” photographer if you have very little fashion sense.

You don’t need to be the “spendy” photographer if you proudly announce that your dress was $7 on clearance.

You don’t need your headshots to have you wearing heels if you live in sneakers and end up in a walking boot every couple of years.

You don’t need to have your website state your favorite movie if you hate movies, your favorite soda if you don’t drink soda, and your favorite Disney Princess if you would rather be camping in the woods than get dressed up.

Be yourself. When you find yourself and you are yourself, you will find your people and your people will love you for who you are.

XOXO. Now go change that false statement on your website that you thought you “had to” say.
